Media and Climate Change

According to ChatGPT, ‘The media plays a powerful role in shaping public understanding of climate change’. It goes further to say that the role of the media ‘is not to advocate for a particular scientific theory, but to help people understand the evidence, the uncertainties and the implications of scientific research’. Ideally the media should play the role of spreading information, provide fair platforms for discussions which allow a proper examination of research findings and to educate the public on the matter of climate change. In summary ChatGPT states ‘the media’s responsibility is to inform accurately, provide context, encourage informed public discussion, and report scientific developments responsibly’.

But the mainstream media has taken a biased position on climate change always quick to characterise those raising pertinent questions as ‘climate change deniers’. While the media in general and journalists in particular want to be seen as intelligent people, they have decided to play dunderheads for financial benefits to ensure only one narrative is told – the narrative that greenhouse gases cause climate change. This is despite historical, scientific and logical evidence showing that this theory does not make sense. The greenhouse gases theory of climate change is based on one argument that greenhouse gases have been increasing in the atmosphere as the globe warms without examining whether the relationship is symptomatic or causal effect.

Historical evidence shows planet earth has experienced several ice ages, some major and others minor implying climate change is a continuous and circular process which has been going on long before humans came into existence. Hot deserts have been expanding long before human activities blamed for global warming came into play. Even if humans were to stop their purported contributions to climate change, what happens to the natural climate change process?

Scientific evidence tells us many things. Global warming cannot be related to solar activity which remains constant and has negligible effect on earthly temperatures. The inner earth is extremely hot with temperatures in the mantle ranging from 2000C to over 50000C in the earth’s core. Earthquakes release greenhouse gases and earthquakes have increased in numbers and intensities. CO2 emissions is used to predict volcanic eruptions with higher emissions indicating high likelihood of eruptions and vice versa meaning CO2 is a symptom not the cause. Vegetation depends on climate (rain). How can one purport to influence rainfall by planting vegetation (forests)? Why do forests go up in flames during heatwaves instead of cooling down temperatures if they ever contributed to cooling the planet?

Logical evidence is that it has not been observed or demonstrated anywhere that reducing greenhouse gases results in global cooling. It is only volcanic eruptions which have been observed to result in global cooling yet such eruptions pump more CO2 and other greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. Even if greenhouse gases caused climate change, what do we do with emissions from volcanic eruptions and earthquakes?

The mainstream media in general and climate journalists in particular are conspirators in the world’s greatest scam which uses the world’s biggest challenge to make money and frustrate genuine efforts to mitigate climate change. Climate related disasters including wild forest fires, heatwaves, storms, floods, earthquakes and tsunamis have caused many deaths and financial losses in terms of property and infrastructure. It is only climate change through ice ages which has the potential of causing an apocalypse. The decision by the media to favour myths and lies for short term financial gains will cost them integrity and credibility and cause them greatest embarrassment in their history.
